To raise awareness of our seas and rekindle maritime consciousness and pride in our people.

How do we Hope to Achieve This?

By an exciting agenda of activities, amongst which are:- 

	Publishing our acclaimed quarterly journal SeaGull.  With articles on the Navy, Merchant Navy, Coast Guard, Ports, Marine Environment etc. It has everything for those interested in maritime affairs.
	Organising annual seminars.  Again, subjects cover all aspects of maritime interest, especially the marine environment.
	Lectures in schools and colleges on the marine environment.
	Lectures to post graduate students at the University of Pune on maritime subjects.
	Organising the annual International Coastal Cleanup in India.
	Promoting marine art through the Society of Indian Marine Artists (SIMA).
	Organising a Naval Band Concert in Pune.  An extremely popular event with the music loving public of Pune.
	Providing Pune with memorials to seafarers.
